What do you think about David's chosen themes in his paintings? Could they be considered Avant-garde for their day? Why or why not?

    You never asked a question. So I have a question for you. Why do you think David painted such painitngs of people's deaths? Was it an obsession of his or was it to attract a certain type of audience?
